Graham Road
A five bedroom Victorian house was converted into three flats that VRDC designed, project managed and built. Underpinning the basement allowed for creating a new living area. The three bedroom flat on the groundfloor with a garden has more the feel of a house than flat. Removing a part of the floor at groundlevel opened up the whole apartment up into an atrium flooding light into the basement and sculpting a unique spatial experience.
The middle flat was in keeping with the Victorian style with marble bathroom, ceiling cornices and Victorian iron radiators aswell as herringbone parquet flooring. In the top apartment, the ceiling was opening up and an extra cosy space and storage added to the apartment and at the same time giving it height.
